BATEMAN/SHAVER TOWNSHIP GEOPHYSICS UPDATE
Further to our news release of February 18, 2004 the Companies
have received a preliminary geophysics report on its northern claim
block. These claims are bordered by Rubicon along the north and
west sides and by the Goldcorp / MetalCORP Black Bear property,
which is currently under extensive exploration, to the northeast.
The geophysics interpretation has targeted 5 drill sites in the
south central portion of the claim block. A summer drilling program
is being planned. The Companies are further encouraged by a recent
news release (MetalCORP Ltd. – “TSX-V: MTC” dated
May 26/04) which reported a gold occurrence discovered in the south
eastern portion of the property where a sample yielded a grade of
14.9 grams per tonne gold over 0.30 metre.
WALSH LAKE/ BATEMAN TOWNSHIP – RED LAKE UPDATE
Further to our news release of April 6 and May 6/04, Belmont Resources
Inc. (“BEO”) and Montoro Resources Inc. (“MNQ”)
have received the drilling results on its Walsh Lake, Bateman Township
property.
63 samples (59 from Hole BWL – 04-01 and 4 from BWL –
04-03) totalling 55 metres of core were assayed for gold assay and
multi element analysis.
Hole #01 was drilled to target an electromagnetic conductor. The
conductor was explained by 1 - 25% sulphide mineralization over
an approximately 60 metre core length hosted in an altered (silicified,
carbonatized and chloritized) mafic volcanic unit No significant
gold values were obtained.
Hole #02 – No samples were taken.
Hole #03 – Silicified zones with minor concentrations of sulphide
mineralization were sampled. No significant gold values were obtained.
A summer ground geophysics program consisting of magnetic and VLF-em
surveying is being planned for the 3 claims (35 units) which were
staked in February 2004, and which are contiguous with the Walsh
Lake claim groups. These 3 claims are adjacent to Rubicon / Goldcorp
joint venture property to the west.
The above information was provided by our independent project supervisor,
Mr. James Burns, B.Sc., P.Eng. of Timmins, Ontario; a qualified
person under National Instrument 43-101.
